March 14, 2006

Pay-per-click Search Engines: A marketing option where a site may have their link and site/product information placed within a database that is displayed when the search engine user makes particular queries within the search engine. The business listing their links are charged each time the user clicks on the link to their site. The fee charged may either be a flat rate (most shopping search engines like shopzilla.com) or may be bid upon (like Yahoo or Google Adwords).
