Search Engine Optimization (aka SEO): A subset of Internet Marketing. Designing a website’s pages and links to improve its rank within organic, crawler-based listings of search engines. These methodologies are applied on the premise that search engine users typically make their selections from the first few search engine result pages for a given search query.
