Submission (of a web site 🙂 – Alerting a search engine to the presence of a website or web page. The URL is placed into a queue, whose contents will either be crawled by webbots or reviewed by human editors. This process is usually unnecessary, and should only be used as a last resort to have your page included in a search engine. This is because robots will find a site through backlinks from other sites.
